Lako Pacific distributes the Cinergy Digital TV tuners for MACs and Noxon wireless audio products from Terratec
Melbourne, Victoria. Lako Pacific wins the right to distribute a range of MAC digital TV tuners and wireless audio products from the renowned German vendor, Terratec, in the Australian retail market. The distribution agreement will see the Cinergy range of digital TV tuners targeted for the MAC channel where there limited options of digital TV tuners for desktop MAC & Powerbook users. In addition to digital TV tuners, Lako Pacific will also be distributing the Noxon range of internet radio and streaming audio devices from Terratec. They include the Noxon iRadio and the Noxon 2audio, both giving users access to listen to thousands of internet radio stations from all over the world, and wireless integration with iTunes for stream and play music from a PC or MAC platform. The distribution agreement comes ahead of Cebit 2007, where traditionally European vendors scout for new partners in foreign regions. The Terratec range of products will be shipping from Lako Pacific from the 1st April 2007.
"Terratec fills the gap perfectly in a MAC market where there's a lack of variety and options for peripherals such as digital TV tuners", says Ben McDonald, National Sales Manager for Lako Pacific. "Unlike the PC market where there's possibly a dozen or more brands of digital TV tuners, MAC users have no more than 4 brands in Australia to choose from, now including Terratec's extensive range."
The list of Terratec retail products to be distributed by Lako Pacific include:
- Cinergy T USB XS - $259.95
- Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS - $349.95
- Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity - $379.95
- Cinergy T Express - $299.95
- Noxon iRadio - $475.95
- Noxon 2Radio - $525.95
- Noxon iVinyl - $299.95
Cinergy digital TV tuners for MAC & PC
The Cinergy range are all external DVB-T tuners that allow MAC users the ability to watch and record TV on the MacBook or iMacs. The Cinergy T USB XS is the base model, which lets you watch & record standard definition and high definition TV (DVB-T), and comes in the form of a USB 2.0 stick for portability and quick set up. The Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS is a hybrid, USB analogue and digital TV tuner, ensuring one form TV reception regardless of whether the user is in a digital reception region. It also features analogue video inputs for recording analogue video to the hard drive. The Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity completes the USB line-up with a two DVB-T tuners built-in, allowing users the option to watch 2 channels of high definition TV simultaneously. The Diversity technology ensures the best signal quality even when the user is on the move. The final Cinergy TV tuner in the range is the T Express, specifically designed for MacBook Pro users with Express card clots. The complete range of Cinergy TV tuners include Elgato’s EyeTV software for viewing and recording TV on a MAC platform.
Noxon Internet Radio
The Noxon range of products include the iRadio and the 2Audio, both wireless LAN and Ethernet capable internet radio and audio streamers. Each product allows the user to browse and listen to thousands of internet radio stations around the world as well as connect to a MAC or PC to stream digital music from iTunes using ElGato’s EyeConnect software. The Noxon 2audio features preset buttons, on-board navigation controls and a blue LCD menu screen; while the iRadio features a retro design and a built-in speaker, as well as all the functions inherent from the 2audio. Both Noxon products use an online service to add and update new internet radio stations, with the online continually checking to see if each internet radio station is still active or not. User interface and set up is kept to a minimum for ease-of-use, requiring a simple local area network and broadband internet access.
