Lako Pacific announces distribution Cyberlink’s Video & DVD software range.

Lako Pacific announces the distribution of Cyberlink’s entire retail software range in Australia’s retail market following Cyberlink’s strategy to move from a republishing business model back to a distribution model. The distribution agreement effective from the 5th February 2007, includes Cyberlink’s popular DVD Suite DVD authoring and burning software; Power Director video editing software; Power Producer DVD authoring software; and PowerDVD software DVD player; all of which are currently shipping to major retailers in Australia, including Harvey Norman, Dick Smith Powerhouse & City Software.
“The inclusion of Cyberlink now compliments our range of consumer video & imaging software titles, adding high definition disc creation support in anticipation for the release of new HD-DVD and Blu-ray drives and burners”, says marketing manager Eugene Wong.
Cyberlink’s reputation is built upon digital video technologies designed for consumer software disc burning / authoring software, and digital home entertainment solutions, including software DVD players bundled with new PCs. Cyberlink have also aligned themselves with the release of Microsoft® Windows® Vista™, releasing plug-ins that will enhance its native entertainment functions while also adding HD-DVD and Blu-Ray playback support, not included in Vista™. Its products have long been available in the Australian retail market, complimenting their strong OEM business.
