Version 5 offers major updates to the video editing features of CyberLink DVD Suite.

- Support for the capturing, editing and output of widescreen (16:9) video content ensures movies a kept in their natural display ratio.
- New magic tools Magic Style and Magic Fix enable quick creation of home movies, and automatically enhance video quality by stabilizing videos and sharpening photos.

Version 5 provides new features for creating music CDs.
- Creating music tracks from video allows the conversion of the audio track on a video file into music for burning to CD.
- Music track gaps add space between music tracks on a CD.
- Album Info lets you download track and album info via the freedb online service.
Data Burning and Backup
Version 5 expands data archiving options by incorporating support for Blu-ray Discs.
- Blu-ray Discs support allows archiving of up to 50 GB of files on the one double layer disc.
- Blu-ray Disc packet-writing enables easy drag-and-drop data burning, creating an extra 25 or 50 GB of storage that can be used like a hard disk drive.
- Application data backup lets you archive Internet and email data, allowing the back up of Internet Explorer favorites and cookies; Outlook Express mail folders, settings and Address Book; Outlook mail and settings.
- Advanced file filtering saves time and disc space by allowing you to choose the file types you wish to include or exclude from the backup process.
- Restorer Utility enables the restoration of data without the need for the original PowerBackup program that created the archive, by creating a single executable file during the backup process.
- Password protection provides a more secure method of creating data discs.
Utilities
Version 5 enhances the creation process with new label designs and technology support.
